Skalsko Lodge is situated in Central Bulgaria, in the beautiful hilly plain to the North of the Balkan Mountains, on the shore of the small Skalsko Dam Lake, 200 km away from Sofia, 260 km away from Varna, 260 km away from Bourgas and 130 km away from Plovdiv.

 

Skalsko Lodge is situated in quiet, peaceful and enjoyable surroundings. It is a luxurious hunting lodge and provides exclusive accommodation in 6 suites, 1 double and 1 single room (all with Bath/WC, satellite TV and mini bar). Dining hall, rest hall with a fireplace, swimming pool and a big sunny terrace at Skalsko Lake are also at your disposal.

HUNTING (Stalking, High-seat, Driven hunts, Bird shooting)
For our guests we organize stalking, high-seat, driven hunts and bird shooting in an area of over 120,000 acres in 5 hunting grounds: Skalsko, Sevlievo, Veliko Tarnovo, Dryanovo, Gabrovo.

 

 

Game species

Red deer (7-12 kg), Roe deer (300-500 g), Wild boar (20-24 cm), Mouflon, Wolf, Jackal, Wild cat, Fox, Pheasant, Wild duck, Quail, Wood pigeon, Turtle dove, Partridge.

 

 

Best Trophies

Roe buck - 825 g, 189.4 CIC - National record;

Red stag - 13.5 kg, 232 CIC;

Wild boar - 24 cm;

Mouflon - 94 cm;

Brown bear - 508.2 CIC.

 

 

Fishing

The dam lake of Skalsko (12 acres) and the River Yantra (500 m away) have numerous fish species. They are attractive facilities for sport fishing.

 

Riding

The near riding club (12 km away from Skalsko) provides Arabian and Bulgarian warm-blooded horses. Experienced instructors take care of you during your ride near the club and the Skaslko Residence Area. You can also participate on routes to the Dryanovo monastery and the Kapinovo monasteries.

 

 

Sight-seeing

Numerous natural and cultural sights. The ancient capital city Veliko Tarnovo with the castle Tsarevetz (11th-14th century) and Arbanassi village, Etara and Bojentsi open-area museums, Dryanovo monastery and the Bacho Kiro cave, Tryavna historical village are worth sight-seeing. 500 m away from Skalsko is the antique Roman road between Augusta Trayana and Nikopilis ad Istrum, with the Roman market "Discodurraterra". The Romans surely did like the place 2,000 years ago!
